Klipsch corner horns

cheap-Jack and . , hi. I'm tempted to ask if the "." is a microdot but let it go. Not meaning to get into the horn versus (fill in the blank) debate but- The Klipschorn approach seemed to me to yield the best sound on piano (for example) when listening from the next room. Something about sitting at the focus of these midrange and tweeter horns looking right down the barrel, so to speak, was just too much. On tough piano (Scriabin, Lizst) the K-horn always sounded better than anything else - listening from another room. This is not a snide comment. I have been fooled by K-horns reproducing piano thinking someone was actually playing and I was not in the room with the loudspeakers. Tube amplification is a must. If you want to endure transistor crossover distortion and odd order harmonics making your back teeth ache the K-horn plus transistor amp (how about a Dyna Stereo 120 or a Crown DC-300) is the combo to do it. Use wood for your horns and the ringing problem goes away.
