01A's generally refer to the "ST" shaped bulbs201A/301A/401A are generally globe, the first letter is irrelevant, for example RCA is 201, Cunningham 301, Deforest 401 etc.
UV refer to the short pin types
UX refer to the long pin (like a 45 or 2A3) typeThere is also a 201 (non-A) with higher current requirements
The globe types come as BBT (brass base, tipped), BB (brass base, no tip) and bakelite bases. There are literally hundreds of manufacturers that made 201's.
