RCA put these out in the late 50s. They remind me of the Elcassette. Both were 3 3/4 ips 1/4 track. Tape width was 1/4 inch. The RCA players I've seen were very low end devices. I don't think any other brands made playback electronics for them. There were some titles released on cartridge format that were never released on 1/4 or 1/2 track format. Think the format only lasted a year or so.
