Rented the Millenia Preamps for an orchestral recording last year and they did not offer much improvement over my built in preamps. Next time I'm going to rent the true preamps and see how they stack up. That NY rental place has some tasty gear, but too expensive for west coast folks. I need local Portland rental and the only preamps I found locally were the Millenia and True. Millenia seems to be the standard for classical recording now.
