My Cantabile Jubilees have continued to settle in but their sound as you describe it and as I wrote about it remains essentially what it was in their first week or so here. Jean Claude Reynaud tells me the new tweeter has a lot to do with it. They are "intended" for modest sized rooms (Paris apartments?) but perform as described in my 5,000 cubic foot room. Like that late lamented Offrandes, they don't sound perfectly objective but seem instead to harken back subtly to earlier Reynauds, designed by the late Jean Marie, which spoke explicitly to the emotions. Jean Claude, former recording engineer, has seemed to be moving more toward accuracy to source in some of his other designs, like the Abscissa Jubilees; but the apple remains clearly in sight of the tree. One would never mistake Abscissas for anything but Reynauds and that now goes in spades for the new Cantabiles.

On the matter of wider distribution, I agree that would be ideal. But as some of you know, I am too old for the more ambitious enterprise that would entail. I was supposed to be the 'temporary' North American distributor when I agreed to take on that role some ten (?) years ago and some years later I'm still here! JC found a Canadian importer a couple of years ago, which has helped a lot. So...since I stopped going to audio shows a while back, it's been occasional reviews and word of mouth. I believe word of mouth is one of the most dependable media for audio, but it's not very efficient. So many thanks for yours!
