Very Nice ! ....

I bet that was an exciting buy !

They sure look sweet !

I've had the DM-12 and the DM-7 MKII. Enjoyed my time with both.

As for finding similar treasure ...

About dozen or so years ago I went into an old "Radio & TV" repair shop in my hometown ("Bob & Rays"... their real names !) that had been there since I was a kid.

I learned from a friend that going into these old shops and asking if they had anything they wanted to be rid of could turn up some interesting stuff.

Many times these shops repair stuff for folks and then they never pick it up, leaving them to sell it to get their money back.

I specifically asked if they had any turntables and was told they had one in the basement left over from the days when they occasionally sold equipment.

I said I was interested and the old fellow disappeared into the basement and came back with an AR XA turntable in a sealed box.

He said they were around one-hundred back in the day, so I could have it for fifty.

Much like yours, that was a fun day. Being the first to open the box of an almost 40-year old piece of equipment is way cool

Dean.

reelsmith's axiom: Its going to be used equipment when I sell it, so it may as well be used equipment when I buy it.
