I wouldn't use lead if there are kids in the house

I realize the lead would be largely inaccessible. But why bother with that? Lead is nasty stuff. And 70 lbs of sand will exert as much downforce as 70 lbs of lead or whatever. The diff in SQ might be more about how much empty volume there would be in the stands, no? Which will vary depending on the material used.
