RE: Filling speaker stands...

Go to Home Depot and get a 50lb. bag of pebbles. You might need to cut the bag and pour them into a plastic tub to dry. Make sure they are completely dry before filling the stands. You can make a funnel out of a milk jug as reelsmith suggested and make one for the scoop too. A large flour or sugar scoop works too.
