It sounds like using kitty litter will get me in the ballpark, weight wise.

I estimate each speaker/filled-stand combination would be between 60-70lbs.

My only remaining concern would be the long-term viability of the material... Do you think the litter would absorb moisture from the air, and become a problem over time?
