I recently sold my Quad ESL 57s and now I'm seeking an inexpensive speaker to use temporarily while I find another flagship. I'm buying a pair of Leak 2060 speakers tomorrow. Unfortunately, it's a side of the road deal and I will not have the opportunity to hear them first. I'm aware of the risk that there could be blown drivers, but trying to stay optimistic. They look nice in photos. What I'm scared of, though, is that this is just going to be another bright, peaky, and horrendous vintage speaker. Please tell me they have a warm tonal balance with nice bass weight and smooth, non-peaky mids. Tweeter is the Wharfedale purple job, which I can change if it's unrefined. If you've heard the 2060 before, please tell me all you can about the sound. Thanks!
