I just got a pair. I like them an awful lot. Don't want to start another flame. They are well balanced but as others have said, placement and those foam plugs are critical in "smallish" rooms. I find they can "boom" in my room corners without the plugs that KEF provides, but a week or two in and futzing around with placement, they seem to be as described. Not sure if that's a reflection of ears adjusting, or "break-in." Probably the former.
I think I have discovered the sweet spot by removing the inner foam plug on the left speaker (Bass is not directional, right? Correct me, if otherwise.)
Former speakers. Harbeth 7ES2 (best I ever owned, frankly...can't afford the new version), Spendor S20 (I won't sell them. Already regret selling my first pair of S20's.)
System:
Marantz SA8005
Mcintosh C31v
Mcintosh MA-7150
Project Debut Carbon (yes, "weak link" but amazing TT for the $.)
