RE: DeVore 3XL or JMR Bliss Silver

I drive mine with a 10 watt Audio Note OTO SE Signature or a 100 watt Blue Circle FtTH2. It's more appealing on the OTO, more robust on the FtTH2. Both sound great. I've driven earlier K's with a 40 watt Manly Stingray and Shrimp. See the pattern? I don't. You can drive them with just about anything from 8 watts up if it's the right amp. The right amp meaning, for example, that the standard OTO isn't quite it while the Signature is.

What Richard says about the K/Lx with foam surrounds being better than K/SPe's with rubber surrounds is true. They're fine speakers. But not as open and beguiling as the new K/Spe's. Or you could spend $7-8K more and get K/SPx's! If you do, tell me what they sound like. I've still not heard a pair. They're not exactly a value item but I bet they sound really nice.
