RE: Please let us know how they sound

They sounded good out of the box, unlike the earlier 40's with the "D" drivers, and are sounding better by the hour. I'll give them a few more days before saying more. They are in the high 90's in sensitivity, as you know, so you can probably drive them with anything as far as power goes. What their main concern is a really clean signal, almost designed to go with the Crimson ss stuff. They're wasted on tubes that work against their principal virtues, which are clarity, immediacy, and speed. By the way, they sound nothing like the 40's you heard at RMAF a couple of years ago. Hard to believe Creston could abide those. Stay tuned.
