So you're home! Actually, I did my stands eons ago and can't really remember what the change was. I sort of remember a modest overall tightening, clarifying, speeding up. But as I said below, I can't swear to that, especially now. If it were a dramatic upgrade, I'd remember. It is harder to hear subtle improvements sometimes than the opposite. With small improvements, things just get a little more natural sounding so there is a tendency right away to take them for granted, in the "of course" category. But when things commence to suck, alarms go off, frowns occur, etc. No mistaking that.
All of this said, I tend to trust small improvements more than big ones, at least until the big ones settle in and prove to be more than just dramatic changes. In another conversation, where the subject of Tocaros comes up, you may remember that I didn't trust the improvements they brought to the table for quite a while. It turns out there was a reason for that, which I'll go into later.
Anyway, if you play some different games with stands for your E's, let us know. I do know that Skylan (MDF) stands are popular. I can't imagine that they'd do anything more for AN speakers than they do for Reynauds, but who knows?
