RE: Magico Speakers

I would agree with TL concept being superlative "if properly made " but haven't seen one in store or in the shows for years. Can't even remember one commercial offering except old british TDL manufacturer in which case the tunnel acted like a port partially supporting bass driver. Can you specify which range you consider BASS. Somehow when people talk about tight , fast paced bass "accurate bass" I feel a little lost . True low bass ain't "tight or fast " it is monumental , slow and rich and it's "breathing easily" for a lack of a better word. I don't mind crown amps , lamp cords etc. they just valid tools if they do what they suppose to, but it may also indicate that finer aspects of playback like tone , timbre and color are of less importance to you which is fine. Very rarely you can have brute force and finesse in the playback at the same time. I'm not sure if it's possible no matter how much money you can spend.
Back to Magico I think they fit in "TRENDY" category and are cleverly marketed to people who must have "what's on the top". They have to have some appeal. How many manufactuers have tried this and failed and Magico after initial stir is moving forward. Rgrds, W
