Love the whole feel of your room. Looks great.
But for audio purposes, my opinion is that no matter the speaker, it's not going to sound quite right. The main culprit, IMO, is that there is no wall to the right of the right loudspeaker.
My last house was somewhat similar in that no matter how I placed the loudspeakers, there was never any symetry between the two speakers. I sent a photo to Frank (GIK Acoustics...you might consider this, also) and came up with a few suggestions, but ultimately, there really wasn't too much that could be done.
Rather than a large speaker, like others have suggested, you might consider listening in the nearfield to get your room out of the equation as much as possible. Your second photo shows small monitors. Had you tried nearfield in the past?
