Home Speaker Asylum

General speaker questions for audio and home theater.

those Tyler PD series are rather nice actualy...

Not enough refinement you say but when the budget is limited, and need a relative high sensitivity, they can rise to the occasion.

Personally, I'm sort of sick of yet-'nother-*hifi* speakers which seems refined enough but no fun to listen to.

The OP's room is *primed* for a large horn based system but not sure if a proper set up can be achieved within his budget. ( probably needs revisiting his amplifications to do them justice. )

If I were to start over in his space, I'd look at the Azolina horns with SET or Classic Audio Reproduction with one of Ralsph's OTL amplifiers.

Or, of course, the active DBL maxed out with top end Naim amps would do the job right as well.
