I've been searching for some speaker stands to be used for the surround sound channels in the back of my room. I wanted something decent so that they could also be used to hold monitors in my two-channel stystem when there's the need. I had my mind set on the top of the line offering from Sanus (Sanus UF30) because they are cheap, $230 on eBay. But I just read the spec and they can only hold up to 25 lbs. I am thinking that you would probably want something stronger? Or is that enough? One of the speakers I'm planning to use it for is the USHER Be-718, which is at least 20 lbs each. So I am sure some other monitors would be heavier than that.
Any recommendation for some good & inexpensive speaker stands? (Something under $300 a pair other than concrete blocks!)
