I recently bought a pair of 805 Matrix speakers in mint condition.
They are on lightweight Target stands about 20.5" high but the stand base is not large and the weight is not enough for the spikes to make solid contact with the floor (the sides of the spikes hang up in the carpet backing so their points float in the underlay, just above the conctete floor.
Ive also tried them sitting on top of Advents (25.5" tall) Although this is a bit more solid, they sounded better at the 20.5" height, possibly because my couch is low and the ceiling height is 75".
While the speakers sound great, I am pretty sure that they would sound better on good heavy stands.
New Sound Anchors stands would cost more than the speakers and I would prefer a less costly option.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
David
