This is one of the "classic" Spendor monitor speakers. I listened to one of them this weekend and they do sound marvelous. (I have the S5e floor model and am upgrading to the S8e) but Spendor certainly makes a wonderful speaker that certainly meets your specs. No tizz, no boom, no exotic drivers. Just music.
