I used them w/ SS gear in my home and office and I found them a somewhat rough and uneven sounding, which for me overshadowed the many things they do well. I didn't keep them long. Certainly good performers for the $, but no LS35A, at least not in my SS systems. Tubes may be a different story, however, if they smooth out the rough edges. Soundstaging was quite good. I much preferred the Infinity Primus 150-160 in the lower price ranges. YMMV, of course.
