Dear LB,Our stands are custom made by a UK company, the height and geometry is calculated in such a way that they provide low centre of gravity (once lead and sand filled that is), place the tweeter and woofer at the correct height relative to floor and ear and are as stiff a platform for the speaker as possible within the obvious cost and size constraints.
They cost more to ship in single pairs that they cost to make, just to settle that point.
