Sub-woofer conclusions

Best results with the Snell K were with snells running full range and the sub low pass crossover set at 35 hz.

Playing 1/3 octave band pink noise I had sound down to the 20 hz band at a reasonably level reading on the RS meter except for a room peak at 50 hz and a dip at 30 hz. The real problem was that below 40 hz, I was getting unstable one note bass plus loud port noise at higher frequency.

Overall I would recommend this sub (NHT SW2P) with the NHT Superzero's but with speakers that can play clearly well below 100 hz I want a sub that can extend their range with clear reproduction down to below 30 hz and no garbage on the really low notes. Now where is that REL for $100?

David
