I certainly like the Snell K's and I assume that the K II's are also good. I compared my K's to some new B&W 805s speakers yesterday and while the B&W's didn't sound bad, I much preferred the Snell's.So far I've been using the sub with the Snell's in room with a carpet and underlay on a concrete floor. The room has a resonance in the 50 - 60 hz range and my first impression is that I am getting the best results with the crossover set right down around 35 hz and running the Snells full range as you suggest.
BTW What Do you know how the K II's differ from the original K's? What did you replace your Snell's with and what led you to make the change?
