I've tried the DMT 15 II. The highs are less agressive than the vintage Tannoy, but the 15" cone is to large to do midrange properly. Also...these speakers want a HUGE room to do their thing. I also found them to be doing many things right...yet there was something totally uninvolving and lacking in magic about them. They failed to draw me in, which is interesting. I heard the same things with these speakers that I have with older Tannoy 15"s. You've got your highs and low lows....but the punch and sweetness in the mids is gone. Can't do the DMT 15s. Thought about the DMT 12s...but those plastic cones sound like ass to my ears. It's coloration city.
