A 10 minute break in? Vs What?

Apologies if I misunderstood what you posted. I didn't quote you....

If you are saying that a speaker has measurable changes after the first 10 minutes of use, - then beyond that no measurable change: I would call that 10 minutesof time, almost no break in.
If that's the case, - that's certainly something that can be done by the manufacturer at the factory.

My speaker manufacturer has stated that the speaker has a noticable and discernable improvement after 200 hours of break in, - vs, - first hook up in my home, and/or beyond that 10 minute statement. I have found this to be dead on true, - for the first 100 hours, - my speakers sounded OK, - but beyond the 300 hour mark, - they sounded wonderful and made quite a dramatic IMPROVEMENT.

I have found that measurements are a problematic method for determining a speakers quality: as most measurements do NOT adequately represent the speakers capabilities or tonal character. Speakers that measure similarly sometimes don't sound similarly. I have speakers that were reported to measure poorly, - sound great.

To say that there is no measurable difference, and therefore NO DIFFERENCE in what I hear, between a speaker after 11 minutes and then after 300 hours, - implies that I am deluding myself into hearing what I do not. This definitely makes me angry, - (implying that I can't hear).

The reason I made that statement is that I have owned $300 Advent speakers that I couldn't tell the difference if they improved over any amount of time... Higher end, higher resolution speakers, speakers that bring out more detail, will change noticably over time.

I apologize in advance if I'm wrong in my speculation of your position, - of if you're not saying that....

is this the real me, or a mere facsimile?
