Jay,Sounds like 24" stand height is what you need. As mentioned the correct stand height for the Harbeths is to have the tweeter at ear level from the listening position. If you have been following the recent discussions at the Harbeth usergroup site you may recall some users say that having ear level slightly below the tweeter height "sweetens" the sound a bit. As for stand selection just make sure that if it is a metal stand that it is fillable to dampen resonances and that you use spikes for stability and vibration transmission. As mentioned I use the Sound Anchors (www.soundanchors.com/page78.html) four post stands which are great but pricey at $650pr. The Harbeth distributor recommended the Canadian made Skylan stands which are $200 or $350 for 24". Both of these brands are popular with Harbeth users.
