jjhaz, hi. When I owned a pair of 805 the list of upgrades gradually came to be more than 20+ items. It eventually amounted to a complete redesign project. After long thought about this I decided to trade them. Changing tubes and coupling caps may satisfy your cravings to improve them ( your goal? ) but is not going to greatly influence the overall sound. If you want to talk about any of this drop me a line with your phone #. I would be happy to do it. If you are not skilled I would urge you to not experiment and/or view your amps as a 'learning' project without close expert assistance. The voltages in the 805 are particularly lethal.
