bogartg. hi. Failure mode? Filaments. Won't bias. other. I would not operate my system without an AC line voltage meter operating. Mains here comes via an electric coop (non-profit member owned). Voltages have peaked to nearly 130 at times in the past. I alert the coop and they correct the problem. I also would not operate electronics without a balanced power device. This acts as an isolation transformer as well as providing balanced power. You can read about these at Equi-Tech's website if interested. If you are having regular and early tube failures I would be tempted to try other tubes. I have some 300B tubes with thousands of hours on them. They test as new. How about the other tubes in your gear.
Have you had failures with them as well? What does your dealer say about this? Are you getting replacements on warranty?
