Mike, hi. You need to talk or otherwise communicate with Mr Jack Eliano at Electra-Print. The questions you have he can answer. No. B.S. No Hype. By the way I use EP transformers in my 2A3 amp. Outstanding. Wide range. Musical. Delivers the breath of life. He can do partial silver secondaries that accomplish the same thing as full silver. His EP web site has the skinny. Besides EP I would take a long gander at the Plitron toroids tweaked up by Meno Van der Veen. They are a wonder-licious sonic marvel. Also, do not neglect Hashimoto of Japan. Their iron comes the long and venerable tradition of the craftsman. I hear they sound excellent. Then, there is Magne-Quest, but the website is horribly out of date and incomplete. It looks like MQ is wedded to cobalt and nickel ultra thin lams; yes, they are waaaffffeeeerr thin! "It must be parallel feed. Feed it parallel. Put the cap in front of the transformer. DC is bad." Also check out OneElectron at tubes and more dot com - i think they are the sole vender for OE. There. That ought to get you pixilated to the max with transformerology. Have fun. Oh, i have homebrews with Electra-Print, Tango (the old Tango), Audio Note, One Electron, and Magnequest.
