genelex, hi. My experience with Mundorf has been mixed. Got excellent results in a loudspeaker xover. Then I tried the silver supreme .22 as couplers in SET 300B amps and was totally unhappy with the result. I had tried Jensen copper foil & oil and RelCap RTX in the same position with good results. Reworking these 300B amps has been the latest project so have been trying various combinations. To date the best combination has been a Reliable Teflon tin .1 in first position and Aeon polypropylene tin in the second. I was so unhappy with the Mundorf .22 I decided to try the Aeon because I happened to have them. There are so many variables at work it becomes difficult to predict results. Reality always trumps theory.
That's the crux of the thing. I will probably try the Jensen coppers again at some point. Tobias makes excellent caps. I have been tending towards Teflon tin as the sonic best - fast, neutral, does less damage to signal, etc. Avoiding a cap monoculture is a good rule of thumb. Enjoy your cap exploits. DIY is fun.
