this is an interesting circuit... the way i see it you have a magnetically coupled circuit for the LF, and a choke loadede cap coupled to a grid choke circuit for the high frequencies, and sizing the cap determines where the coupling crossover takes place... and i suspect the cap is doing a lot more of the coupling than the iron is...dave
