Bruce Wenger of BWS Audio regularly cryo's components, including transformers, tubes, DAC boards, compression drivers, etc. I use his modified CD player with a cryoed Bel Canto board and the results are spectacular, and I've also heard what this process does to old Dyna ST70 output trannies--the improvement is not slight.Be careful, however! It's not always beneficial. A pair of cryoed 845s I borrowed from him turned out to be unlistenable, devoid any of the warmth one associates with this tube, and some cryoed output trannies have been failures as well--too "fast" and unnatural sounding.
Trial and error seems to be the only way to figure out what will benefit and what won't.
