Re: Yo, Marvin..

Jneutron, I am referring the the 'artificial politeness' demanded on 'diy.audio.com'. ""

Ah, I see. It would help if you referred to another site when you speak about it.

jc: ""
Jneutron, I don't find that you know more than many of us about 'material science'.""

Interesting. Then explain why you stated diodes exist in the wires.

And, why you believe lead/tin melted at 470 F.

And why cryogenic processing alters the resistivity of copper to the point of audibility, yet all attempts by the scientific establishment to measure such change out 10 orders of magnitude have failed...yet you still claim that "how can you know if you haven't tried it"?

jc: "" In fact, you seem to be ignorant of cryogenic treatment of materials, for the most part.""

No, I am experienced in it. What I am "ignorant" of is the floobydust, silly explanations people like you present as the "truth", when in fact, the experience of those who actually DO this for a living on a day to day basis, says otherwise.

Crackpot explanations, such as the type you proffer or believe, are the reason hi end audio is falling apart. That is the shame.

jc: ""
If I had a question on 'material science', I would ask SY, first. He has, at least, studied it extensively. ""

Sy is also the first I would ask on forum. However, since I have direct access to dozens of phd type guys who are advancing the state of knowledge in material sciences (if you believe all the peer reviewed publications and awards)...I'd tend to ask them first.

For cryo based questions, there's lotsa guys down the hall from me..

Cheers, John
