Don't worry... BTW why no uproar over DST or MLP?

Don't worry jbo, looking at the responses it's clear that most of us understands the implications of lossless compression. I see chatter here at AA like the playful banter in most audiophile sites/print rags; a (hopefully small) portion of which borders on psychosis and another large portion of neurosis containing element of truth but safely ignored for the enjoyment of music :-).

Here's a thought to those still worried about lossless compression:
Why is there no uproar around MLP (used in DVD-A) or DST (used in SACD's)?

The new stereo 2011 SACD's from MFSL for example like the recent Keb' Mo' are DST encoded even though there's plenty of room on the disk to keep it uncompressed. Don't they know they shouldn't have to engage the decode circuitry which adds to noise??? :-)
