Nice setup there Dawnrazor.
I tried the memory player (CMP2) as well on an Atom based Windows Media Server based PC more than a year back... No bling that's for sure (it's headless with no screen/video card, everything through RDC). It sounded good but I still cannot say it sounded any different played out through a Benchmark DAC1 Pre or Emu 0404USB.
These days I really like my current 'audio-video' setup - retired Core2Quad 2.4GHz stock speed, undervolted and still stable, 8G RAM. Noctua cooler, nVidia GTX 560 undervolted and slightly underclocked in Fractal computer case - whisper quiet at 1 foot and silent at the listening position. Most of my listening now goes through the Transporter and various Squeezeboxes through the house; I can stream to my Android tablet and phone when I'm out and about. The computer is hooked up to my 3DTV for blu-rays, MKV, etc. and the graphics card is excellent for 1080P gaming (Modern Warfare 3 is awesome folks!). 'Work' computer upstairs has the EMU0404USB now.
Sold DAC1 as of last month - after years of playing with DAC's, don't think I'll bother anymore, I honestly can't fault the Transporter at all. (I think the most expensive DAC I tried was the Ayre QB-9 late 2010 borrowed from a friend for a couple weeks).
In the last year, I'm having a great time with listening to music, acquiring old pressings of CD's before compression killed so many of my favorite songs and not worrying at all about the hardware. :-)
