Absolutely NOT until...

...TRIM function is supported by hw and sw.

Nobody seems to mention it but Leopard at the moment does NOT support TRIM function.
In a few words, because there is no Trim support, the space left by a deleted file remains flagged as Invalid.
What happens is, after an initial increase in performance by the use of a SSD, there is a general decrease in performance because of the above.

On Mac it seems that the Pro, thanks to its nVidia chipset, is going to have Trim support. OS does not support it yet.

Right now, only Linux and Win7 support Trim function.

Therefore, after spending a lot of money for a SSD, you may realize that you wasted your money!
