DR,
I just tried it.
PCM out of S/PDIF is only two channel. Using Allocator was not a problem, but quality with stock slopes was questionable. I had noticeable echo on the dialogue and sibilance on the "s". Playing back DirectSound from the PC, with no XO involved, was even better.
Looking for the multi-ch signal, I tried Bitstream but it was totally distorted. So much so that signal was muted automatically by the card - there is a feature "Mute on Error".
Do you know if the LynxTWO can actually decode Dolby/DTS audio? If yes, how do you set it up? I realize that I should ask Lynx suport, but perhaps they got bored of me and lately don't answer my questions anymore.
Anyhow, for the moment DVD player went back. If I can bitstream to LynxTWO, I will test again though.
Thanks.
