RE: Audio distortion

Probably I did not explain myself properly.

If I do not use Windows Mixer, I have little volume even when all applications involved in the chain are maxed out, that is Console, Allocator and Lynx Mixer. PowerDVD volume control, or any other movie player, has no effect what so ever because it operates on the Master Volume whereas VAC is sending a WAV signal.

Using the Wav slider in Windows Mixer, as I described earlier, introduces distortion/crackling after a few seconds of playback. However, it seems that after various testing I found a satisfactory set-up (please see my above post).

It was my intention to employ, as you suggested, Lynx Mixer as Master Volume control.
