If I got it right, you were using Foobar and Allocator with KS and ASIO (loopback and so on). Whereas for an application like a DVD player you were using DirectSound.
My problem is that, in order to active bi-amp, I need Allocator for 2ch listening as well as multi-ch (DVDs and so on). After all I cannot keep changing my cabling. That is why, whereas I am using Jack or your system, I thought I needed an ASIO compatible DVD player.
I have been told that VLC is supposed to be compatible with PortAudio (Jack) but I cannot make it work...
Am I stuck???!!!
