Dave_K is right.Obtaining a Correlated Depth of ~90dB is typically what one sees with DiffMaker's time alignment algorithm even when I use my standard test signal using a decent DAC/ADC with bitperfect playback.
For example, testing WAVE/FLAC/AIFF:
