MQA is Hostile to Computer Audio

Worse, it's a proprietary encode - decode process. This means that there is no way to encode these files yourself, unless you pay lots of money. This also means there is no way to decode these files unless you buy a special DAC.

If you purchase files that are already encoded you will be forced to play them in degraded form except with a licensed DAC. You will not be able to do any of your own DSP on these files, such as converting to a different format or performing room correction. MQA is hostile to computer audio.
