No need for MQA either. And I've heard some of his files that had to be remixed by converting from pure DSD back to PCM (352.8/32) and back to DXD because of artistic balance issues (a.k.a. ego of solo singers who wanted to be louder in the mix) and I can say unequivocally that the pure DSD recording was better.
The more DSP processing used, the worse the sound gets. The more clever the DSP "expert" is, the longer it takes the rest of us to figure out what is going on. MQA is the 21st century "Dynagroove".
