REGEN works fine with my 3 year old Windows 7 PC. Nothing special about my PC.. The REGEN made a definite improvement, e.g. more solid imaging and reduced harshness.I have also tried iFi IUSB 3.0 and it does much the same thing as the REGEN, but sounds slightly better. I have also tried these two devices in tandem in both orders, but none of these combinations beat the IUSB by itself. Note: I also tried running the REGEN by itself using the iFi powersupply. This appeared to improve the REGEN, perhaps so that it was similar to IUSB.
(I have not done serious listening tests with these, just general impressions. It is too much of a pain to switch USB cables and power cords back and forth multiple times. The differences are subtle and won't magically turn a poor recording into a good one, etc...)
