RE: PCM to DSD conversion

I suspect that on other O/S one can use an ASIO proxy to fool HQPlayer into extracting the output stream. Another way to do this would be to configure HQPlayer to use DoP and output digitally via SPDIF. You could then take the SPDIF signal and loop it back or send it to another computer and pull out the DSD with other software. I've not tried either of these approaches, but they could probably be made to work, possibly with limitations such as DSD speed (e.g. DSD64, DSD128 or DSD256).

Perhaps someone who has made a similar approach work might post what they did.
