Converting 192 PCM or lower to DSD128 works fine on my older core i5 650 processor, even with doing room equalization in real time, provided that the computer is dedicated to audio. (No web browsing!) The same processor can do room equalization at DSD64 rates and output DSD64 without glitches, but it can not simultaneously convert to DSD128. Also, any of the DSD conversions use enough CPU to cause the processor fan to speed up and since the machine is about 4 feet from my ears I can hear the fan noise during the summer months when the fan speed exceeds 2000 rpm.
