RE: mathaudio room EQ question

Hi Anwaypasible,
I don't have Math Audio but have used the free DRC and more recently using the excellent Acourate.

The digital room correction FIR filters should be able to correct frequency response and time domain factors like phase and time alignment. At least that's what I have found with Acourate and DRC in my set-up.

Remember, you do have a very asymmetrical room there so do not expect miracles although digital correction should help to some extent. Irregularities like reverb time cannot be fixed by software and you have to be careful in measurements like microphone placement when you run this. Are you measuring from the sofa?

In my experience, it is worth running some tests with REW after room correction to see what is happening. See if the frequency response is better... Are the speaker step response and impulse improved? Are they time-aligned?
