RE: MS exec responds to Windows 10 privacy backlash

I upgraded a tablet that I use solely for web surfing and reading PDFs. It had been running Windows 8 and auto updates are fine for my purposes on this machine, as it does nothing really important and no real time (e.g. audio) stuff.

I am not going to upgrade my Windows 7 main computer to Windows 10, unless M$ provides a supported (not work-around) method of turning off updates. I do not want my system slowing down or going on holiday because some incompetent programmers at M$ made a boo-boo. I have no problem if downloads can be confined to the middle of the night, and results in a waving flag on the task bar, but I do not want any actual upgrades taking place beneath the sheets.
