RE: dBpoweamp...Burst or Secure Ripping?

If you don't use a secure rip and if you don't have an Accurate rip checksum, the only way to do quality control on your rips is by listening carefully to them. This will be a very boring and thankless task, since 95% or more of your rips will be perfect and you will hear no problems. Worse, because of this you will probably be inattentive when listening to a problem when it happens.

I assume you are perfectionist, otherwise it seems unlikely you would have asked the question. If not, then by all means use the fastest setting. This would be recommended, for example, if you are going to rip lots of albums you will never subsequently listen to. But then, why are you bother to rip them?
