Sure. We can overengineer things. But the core question remains, does it matter and under what circumstances?
At some point we have to say that spending time and money over unlikely phenomena and claims that are so rare and inaudible is not really what the hobby is about; just neurotic obsessionality rather than actually achieving high-fidelity. And spending money "just because I can" is OK I suppose, but I think most of us here would also consider that wasteful when there are so many other things to help with enjoyment/quality of life.
I'm happy to spend money and time to fix something if there is something there to fix! But if there's not even a reasonable example of an actual problem, what's the point?
